Cyclingworld Award Winner 2024: the new Orbea Diem

Orbea is delighted to have won the Cyclingworld Award for the brand new Diem. We have already covered the extraordinary urban bike in detail here, our test will follow shortly.

Moustache is exhibiting its entire line-up of urban bikes, including the classic Lundi 27, the new Mardi 27 and the Moustache J, which has already won several awards and is unique with its full suspension and its cast aluminium frame.

The nice thing about Cyclingworld: smaller brands are also strongly represented and show interesting bikes, especially the range of compact cargo bikes in various designs is constantly growing. The LAX mini cargo bike, for example, is a real novelty that can be seen (and ridden) with a steel frame and optional electric drive. Yoonit is showing the prototype of a new child seat, which is designed to offer more space for passengers than the previous solution.

Of course, the big names in the industry are also at Cyclingworld and offering test rides. The new Porto cargo bike from Specialized will be celebrating its premiere, and Riese & Müller will also be showcasing its urban innovations, including the new Carrie compact cargo bike.

With Rose, Tenways and Ampler, brands that mainly sell their bikes directly and online are also there. The best opportunity to take a close look at these bikes. Tenways will be showing the complete line-up including the new CGO 009 smart bike, which we have already tested here. Rose will also be there with a selection of bikes, including the still very cool steel frame bike HOBO. Ampler presented the new line-up of the Curt model series at the start of the show, which can also be tried out!

The trend towards lightweight e-bikes was further supported by the new Bosch SX drive, which has now found its way into several bikes. At Cyclingworld, the new light models from Kalkhoff and the brand new Cube Editor Hybrid will be on show. Similar idea, but completely different design: Bergamont is also represented with its lightweight e-bikes with TQ drive, including the new E-Vitesse.

Cyclingworld runs until Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Areal Böhler in Dusseldorf. Further information about the trade fair can be found directly on the Cyclingworld website.
