To kick off the Eurobike show on Wednesday this week, Riese & Müller is already unveiling their e-bike innovations for the upcoming 2025 model year.
Delite5 and Homage5 with Pinion’s MGU
One highlight is certainly the new Delite5 and Homage5 duo, both of which are equipped with Pinion’s innovative MGU motor-gearbox unit. The frames of the bikes have been fundamentally redesigned and made multi-drive compatible. This means that one and the same frame can now be equipped with different drive systems and batteries. The Pinion drive marks the start, with further systems to follow.
The frames have also been optimized in terms of handling: thanks to the new geometry, the Delite5 should have more progressive kinematics as well as more direct and agile handling. The result should be a more dynamic and at the same time safer riding experience on all terrains.
Another striking feature of both bikes is the eye-catching luggage rack, which is firmly attached to the frame and thus decoupled from the suspension. This consists of a FOX suspension package with 120 mm travel on the FOX AWL front fork and 45 mm on the FOX Float Rhythm shock. The X-Fusion dropper post is also part of the standard equipment for high comfort when stopping at traffic lights and when starting off.
The Delite5 is available in the colors amber and stone grey, the Homage5 in warm silver and night — each in the frame sizes 47, 51 and 56 cm. The price of the new Pinion models starts at a whopping 8,399 euros, and the bikes will also be available as fast S-Pedelecs in addition to the regular Pedelec version.
UBN Five as a sporty commuter bike with gravel handlebars
A new variant for the UBN series is very interesting: the UBN Five will be available in a new version called the UBN Five Commuter, which comes with dropbar gravel handlebars, Shimano’s GRX gravel drivetrain and a suspension fork as standard. We had already tested the UBN Five Silent in detail here, even with the suspension fork — and were quite impressed by the bike with the Fazua drive system. Compared to this, the new commuter version should certainly be a little sportier to ride, but also offers more variety in the riding position thanks to the handlebars.
The integrated lighting system, mudguards and the inconspicuous bag holder on the rear wheel remain an integral part of the equipment. There is a positive surprise when you look at the bike’s price tag: Riese & Müller quotes an RRP of 4,999 euros for the new UBN Five Commuter despite the extensive equipment. As the current line-up is priced somewhat higher, we can hope for a price reduction for the entire UBN series.
The new Carrie and cargo bike accessories
In the cargo bike segment, the focus is on the new Carrie, which was presented at the beginning of the year. We have already featured the compact cargo bike with the “lockable trunk” in detail in this article and it should now also be available in stores.
Apart from this, a new buggy option is available for the well-known Packster2 70 model with the familiar transport box made of shock-absorbing EPP, but with a significantly lower side entrance, making it easier to handle for families with children. For Multicharger and Multitinker, on the other hand, there is a new weather protection that allows passengers and luggage to be transported dry and protected from the wind.
Comprehensive insurance for the e-bike
Finally, all buyers of the Delite5, Homage5, Packster2 70, UBN Five, UBN Six and UBN Seven models equipped with RX Chip as standard have an attractive offer: the new ConnectCare Free service offers a comprehensive package with fully comprehensive e-bike cover and replacement in the event of theft for the aforementioned bikes, which can be activated free of charge in the first year!
