Just yesterday, Tenways unveiled the new CGO 800 Plus step-through e-bike, which, unlike its singlespeed sister model, is equipped with chain and derailleur gears for the first time.
Today, the curtain falls on the new Tenways CGO 600 Plus, which also comes with a chain and gears — but otherwise resembles the already familiar CGO 600 Pro as a singlespeed with belt drive. With this 600 model series, Tenways offers relatively light and sporty e-bikes that have a diamond frame with a high top tube.

Proven concept with some useful improvements
We had already tested the slim e-bike here at the launch and were impressed by the combination of good design, high-quality drive and the light weight of around 18 kg. All of this should also apply to the new Plus model, especially as Tenways has now even made some improvements:
- The newer C9 motor is also installed here, which we were already able to ride here in the test of the CGO 009 smart bike. There, the hub motor impressed us with its whisper-quiet operation, powerful assistance (45 Nm torque) and harmonious support thanks to the torque sensor.
- In addition, the rear light is now finally connected to the e-bike battery. Previously, it was still powered by its own battery and had to be switched on and off separately.
However, the main focus of the CGO 600 Plus is on the derailleur gears, which come from Shimano’s Claris series and offer 8 gears. Compared to a singlespeed drivetrain and only one gear, derailleur gears not only make it easier to tackle climbs, but also achieve higher speeds on flat terrain at a moderate cadence.
Apart from that, the technical data corresponds to that of its 600 sister model. The CGO 600 Plus is also equipped with the 360 Wh battery, which is located in the down tube and can be conveniently removed for charging. The drive is operated using the familiar button on the handlebars, which is extremely compact and still has a small display. The height-adjustable stem also makes it possible to customise the riding position to suit personal preferences. In addition to the StVZO-compliant lighting system, the bike also has hydraulic disc brakes, puncture-proof tyres and sturdy metal mudguards.

Prices and availability
In addition to the two colors Sky Blue and Pebble Grey, the bike is also available in three frame sizes (M, L XL), suitable for riders between 165 and over 195 cm tall. Incidentally, the price is on a par with the single-speed version: the new Tenways CGO 600 Plus is available for an affordable 1,799 euros, offering an equally attractive price-performance ratio for such a comparatively lightweight urban e-bike. You can order directly here on the Tenways website. There is currently even a discount of 100 euros, making the bike available for just 1,699 euros.
