Two frame shapes and 12.3 kg light!

Sporty bikes with everyday equipment: the Rose Sneak is now also available as an EQ version

After Rose introduced the regular Sneak, an analog offshoot of the electric Sneak Plus, in August last year, the company is now following up with the new Sneak EQ. A version that adds practical everyday equipment to the sporty urban bike. This means that mudguards, integrated lights and a rack are now permanently installed on the bike!

With a weight from 12.3 kg, the EQ model of the Sneak is also very light!

The striking look in fresh colors remains, and the weight stays pleasantly low despite the extensive equipment starting at just 12.3 kilograms! Despite its suitability for everyday use with the rack and the rear kickstand, the clean design concept is not lost. During the development of the frame, particular attention was paid to detail, with adjustment screws and thru axles cleverly concealed, which not only ensures an aesthetic appearance but also protects against dirt. Another highlight is the high level of integration on the bike: for example, the always-on lighting is dynamo-powered and fully integrated into the handlebars and mudguards.

Two trim levels

The Sneak EQ is now available in two different equipment variants and two frame shapes — with a HighStep frame and high top tube and as a MidStep comfort frame in a trapezoidal shape with a sloping top tube. All models are equipped with robust Schwalbe G-One RS Evo tires in 40 mm width, predestined for versatile use. Differences can be found in the gears and brakes in particular:

  • The Sneak 1 EQ comes with a Shimano Cues 6000 2×11-speed drivetrain and Shimano flatmount brakes.
  • The Sneak 2 EQ can handle even the most demanding terrain thanks to its sporty Shimano Cues 8000 gears.

The bike is available in three different colors, with the color “chalk” serving both frame shapes, while the MidStep version with sloping top tube also comes in “light mint” and the HighStep frame in “faded denim”. The prices are €1,599 for the Sneak 1 EQ and €1,999 for the Sneak 2 EQ, making both models between 200 and 300 euros more expensive than their sporty twins without EQ equipment — which is a very fair surcharge considering the extensive additional equipment! All bikes are available in sizes from S to XL directly here in the Rose online store.
