Cyclingworld Europe, the first major bicycle trade fair of the year, celebrated its opening in bright sunshine in Düsseldorf at the weekend—in the special atmosphere of old industrial halls, bicycle fans certainly got what they were looking for.
In our tour, we take a look at the most exciting new products from the urban bike sector and also take a look at the winners of this year’s Cyclingworld Europe Awards 2025.
Ampler used Cyclingworld as an opportunity to unveil its completely new line-up: the new models are called Nova and can be charged directly via USB-C—a first for an e-bike with an integrated battery. The bikes will be officially unveiled shortly, but we already have the first photos here:

Innovations were also on show at Kalkhoff, where the new generation of the Entice 7+ was on display: a fully equipped and full-suspension all-road bike that is fitted with the new Bosch Performance Line CX and offers a remarkable load capacity of up to 170 kg:

New line-up, new brand direction: Diamant used Cyclingworld as a starting point to reposition itself as a brand. The range of bikes has been significantly streamlined and includes completely new models. A very special detail of the new e-bikes is certainly the so-called Accessory Bar—which visually transforms the step-through bikes into a Diamant frame:

We recently introduced the new bargain e-bike E-ACTV 100 from Decathlon for 999 euros in detail here, and it was already available for test rides at Cyclingworld. Our first impression will follow shortly!

In terms of price, the new Scott Silence eRide is in a completely different league: equipped with the compact HPR-50 mid-motor from TQ, it should only weigh around 14.5 kg and costs 7,499 as shown here!

Runner-up of a Cyclingworld Award in the Best Urban E-Bike category is now the E-Simeto from Stevens, which was presented last autumn and will now also be available in stores.

After testing Lemmo’s Core Edition of the Smart Bike One here and also trying out the Dynamic Edition Max here, we turned our attention to the relatively new Urban Edition in a glossy light grey:

Speaking of smart bikes: Cowboy was also exhibiting its smart e-bikes and had the new and limited spring edition in the colours breeze and dawn—the latter can be seen here on the popular Cowboy Cruiser:

With its G-Line, folding bike pioneer Brompton is showcasing its latest model series, which, with its slightly larger format, is also designed for versatile use as an all-purpose bike – and came third in the Best Urban E-Bikes category.

Schindelhauer Bikes not only brought a colour update for their Emilie with front carrier and Mahles electric drive system, but also a completely new variant for the sporty Arthur: this Arthur Ultimate is equipped with a new drop bar handlebar and integrated headlight from Lightskin and comes with the electrically shifted Pinion gearbox.

Part of the charm of Cyclingworld this year was that not only big brands were in the spotlight—smaller, unusual and sometimes quirky bike concepts also found their place here. These special bikes were shown to their best advantage in the rugged charm of the industrial halls!
For example, the well-known Munroe Cargo from Bombtrack, which was honoured with the Cyclingworld Community Voting Award this year. The Larkspur from Marin Bikes was also an eye-catcher, and not just because of the (beer) can holder on the fork, as were the retro bikes from Siech Cycles in Switzerland.

We already predicted the trend towards compact cargo bikes in our outlook for the 2025 season. With their new Micro, the Hamburg-based company Yoonit now offers a bike that fulfils this concept to the maximum (or rather to the minimum)—at a length of just 139 cm!

Otherwise, there were new and familiar sights among the cargo bikes: the Muli Motor EU with locally produced components was honoured with the Best Cargobike Award. This honour was also bestowed on the LAX as Best Classic Urban Bike, which celebrated its premiere at Cyclingworld last year and will now be available from this year. Finally, there was also the Super Mighty, which was designed as an affordable Long John cargo bike.

If you are interested in experiencing Cyclingworld Europe for yourself, you can already make a note of the dates for next year: The trade fair will take place from 20 to 22 March 2025 at the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf.
