Decathlon doesn’t seem to take a break in 2025 and is already launching another interesting e-bike, which is priced amazingly low: the new Rockrider E-ACTV 100 costs just 999 euros, making it one of the most affordable e-bikes currently available!

Top or flop? What you can get for less than 1,000 euros
With this bargain price, we naturally take a closer look at the bike, because Decathlon must have saved money somewhere — especially as the bike doesn’t look like a cheap product at first glance.
There are no limitations to the battery, which at 356 Wh offers a decent capacity for an e-bike in this class. Another positive feature is that the battery can also be removed from the down tube of the frame for charging — which makes everyday handling much easier.
The motor of the E-ACTV 100 is located in the rear wheel, so we are dealing with a hub motor that is supposed to offer a torque of 45 Nm. That is also a typical value for its class. However, Decathlon doesn’t say whether the bike has a torque sensor for a more natural riding experience – but we assume that they have dispensed with this for the low price. Operation is via a fairly simple-looking button on the handlebars, supported by a few LEDs to indicate the battery status. Here, too, the company has obviously cut corners.
Simple drive system, modern smartphone connectivity
A welcome feature is the smartphone mount on the stem, which is compatible with the popular SP Connect system. Even more interesting is the fact that the bike can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. Decathlon’s free Ride app then displays basic information such as speed, distance travelled or remaining range, can save routes and even transfer firmware updates for the electronics in the bike.
Finally, the twist grip for the 6-speed Microshift derailleur is also located on the handlebars. This is also one of the simpler models of its kind, but should fulfil its purpose.

The equipment of the Rockrider E-ACTV 100 is also quite respectable: with a lighting system, mudguards and 47 mm wide tyres, it has everything you need for everyday urban riding. There is even a suspension fork fitted, although this is not specified in detail.
The only thing that could have been included in the scope of delivery is a kickstand — but such a rear kickstand is available as an optional accessory for around 15 euros. A sturdy rear rack is also available for around 50 euros, which is even compatible with the MIK HD system. This means that bags, baskets and even a child seat weighing up to 27 kg can be attached with a simple click. Finally, the bike is also approved for use with bike trailers from Hamax and Bike Original.

In addition to the Rockrider E-ACTV 100 HF with a high top tube in the typical diamond frame shape, the bike is also available with a comfort frame and low step-through in two frame sizes.
The weight of both models is 22.9 kg (HF) and 22.8 kg (LF) and is therefore within the expected range for an e-bike in this category and price class.
Conclusion
It looks pretty promising what Decathlon has to offer here at a rock-bottom price: The Rockrider E-ACTV 100 offers solid equipment that includes all the essentials. Given the price, it is obvious that the components are rather simple — but only a test can show how reliably they work and how harmoniously the motor assistance is working.
However, it can already be said that with this bike Decathlon is offering a really attractive deal for all those who can’t or don’t want to invest more money in an e-bike. You can now order the Rockrider E-ACTV 100 directly from Decathlon’s online shop.
