Temple Cycles is a small, independent bicycle company run by a team of dedicated and passionate cyclists. The company is based in Bristol, England, where the workshop and its own shop are located. However, most of the bikes are sold online.
All frames are designed in-house and are made of light and durable Reynolds steel. This material is also the main reason why the bikes achieve their classic look – no other material can be as thin and elegant as steel. The additional riding comfort due to a certain flexibility also speaks for the traditional material.
The range of bikes is divided into the Everyday, Adventure and Urban Singlespeed models, and there are also some limited edition bikes. As you would expect, the first mentioned models are equipped with mudguards, porters, etc. and all of them have a gear system (there are bikes with derailleur and hub gears). The prices start at around 830 Euro.
The Adventure models are all equipped with racing handlebars and come with a derailleur system and two chainrings. The top model features Shimano’s 105 and disc brakes, while the cheaper models use conventional rim brakes. The prices start here from 1.060 Euro
The question of the drive system is not necessary for the Singlespeed series – the name says it all. As expected, these models are the cheapest at around 650 euros, but can also be equipped with optional extras such as carrier and mudguards.
All bikes are available with a classic diamond frame and comfortable Step Through frame. Depending on the model, the frame colors can be selected from four different ones, all of which are absolutely great looking. In combination with the mostly brown saddles and handlebar grips (depending on the model made by Brooks England) this results in timeless bicycles with a classic look. All available models can be viewed and ordered on the Temple Cycles website – shipping within Europe costs around 60 euros.
