Serial 1 — an eBike brand created with American motorbike manufacturer Harley-Davidson, Inc. — is pleased to announce a distribution partnership with Harley-Davidson Europe that will bring Serial 1 eBikes to Harley-Davidson dealers across Europe starting this summer.
Serial 1 bikes have been available at dealers since 1 August and Jason Huntsman, President of Serial 1, says: “We are very pleased to introduce an excellent product to Harley-Davidson dealerships across Europe. We think the combination of a great product, a rapidly growing market and a passionate dealer network is the recipe for success.”
The range includes the Rush/City model, which is designed as an everyday commuter bike with extensive features. Interested riders can choose between the model with a diamond frame (Step-Over) and a comfortable low frame (Step-Thru). Powered by a strong Brose motor, the continuously variable automatic transmission from Enviolo is used here and the power is transmitted with the clean and low-maintenance toothed belt from Gates.
There is also the Mosh/City model, a much more purist bike without mudguards and with fat tyres. The Brose S MAG motor with 90 Nm and a toothed belt is also used here, but there is no gearstick. Incidentally, this model is very close to the wonderful study for the introduction of Serial 1, even if the look is no longer quite so striking.
On the other hand, those who want something even more eye-catching can purchase handmade custom eBikes in an auction as part of the 1-OFF series. The first of these models, called Mosh/Chopper, was auctioned off at the beginning of August; the highest bid was a proud USD 14,200!
In comparison, the regular models are much more affordable: the Mosh/City costs 3,499 euros, the Rush/City model series costs 4,599 euros (Step-Thru) and 4,699 euros (Step-Over). More information about the bikes can be found on the Serial1 website.
