The Diamant 247 is almost a classic among urban bikes with belt drive – so the bike has been built since at least 2014, although some small things have changed over time. And another feature of the 247 has always been valid: the price-performance ratio is always quite good!
Diamant 247
The Diamant 247 remains true to itself for the 2020 season, with a fair 999 euros. For this, you get a fully solid urban bike with 7-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with the mentioned belt drive Gates CDN, Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, 40 mm wide tyres with reflex strips and the full lightning system powered by a hub dynamo. The bike is available with a classic diamond frame as well as a comfortable trapeze frame. For 2020 there is not only the color black but also a so-called Almandinbeige to choose from.

Diamant 247 Deluxe
For the upcoming 2020 season, Diamant is now also offering a second version of the 247 with the addition Deluxe. This model is equipped with higher-quality components and also stands out in color with a graphite grey frame. This Deluxe version is also available with a classic diamond frame as well as a comfortable trapez frame:
The “Deluxe” version with its 11-speed hub gear
Compared to the regular Diamant 247, the deluxe version shows the following differences:
- Shimano Alfine 11 Switch hub
- Racktime Lightit pannier rack with taillight
- Bontrager Satellite Elite handles
- Cambium All Weather Saddle by Brooks
The price of the deluxe model is 1,499 euros. Compared to the regular 247, this is a fairly high surcharge, but the price is not bad for the features – especially the 11-speed hub gear alone is likely to be responsible for a large part of the additional costs.
