After Coboc introduced its new edition of the sleek Vesterbro commuter e-bike last year, they are now launching the Vesterbro TPZ, which features a comfort frame. The TPZ in the name indicates the trapezoidal frame, which promises more comfort when getting on and off bike.
Just like the version with the diamond frame, the new Vesterbo TPZ also has a very low weight of 15.6 kg. That’s impressive, especially as the bike is fully equipped with an integrated lighting system, mudguards and a minimalist pannier rack on the rear wheel!
The electric drive features the CBC01 motor in the rear wheel, a compact hub motor manufactured according to Coboc specifications. As is typical for Coboc bikes, the drive system is controlled via an inconspicuous button on the top tube, which can be used to select two speed levels. More is hardly necessary, as the motor’s assistance is controlled by a torque sensor. We have explained the advantages of such a system in detail in this article. In short: the riding experience is particularly natural! The e-drive is completed by the 360 Wh battery, which is permanently installed in the frame.
The 11-speed derailleur system is provided by SRAM from their NX series and the hydraulic disc brakes come from the rather unknown manufacturer Riderever (type ARC-U). The tires in 27.5″ format with 44 mm width are from Schwalbe, the headlight at the front is from Supernova. In contrast, the seat post with integrated rear light and the almost invisible bag holder are Coboc’s own developments.
The Coboc Vesterbro TPZ is available in three sizes (S, M and L) in opal blue and in a metallic raw finish at a price of 4,699 euros.
