The fact that the relatively new manufacturer Tenways wants to offer as comprehensive a product portfolio as possible can be seen in its latest innovation, the Tenways AGO X. In contrast to the previous Tenways models CGO 600, its new PRO variant and the comfort frame model CGO 800S, which are powered by rear hub motors in combination with a Gates Carbon Drive, the AGO X offers a completely different setup.
Here we have a powerful Bafang M410 mid-drive motor with a compact display on the handlebars for easy control. The 10-speed derailleur comes from Shimano and offers a range of 430 percent. With a maximum torque of 80 Nm, this combination is ideal for fast acceleration, transporting heavy loads and effortlessly tackling steep climbs even in rugged terrain!
This is ensured by the robust construction of the AGO X, recognizable by the suspension fork from SR Suntour and the puncture-proof tires in 29″ format, which are intended to ensure the necessary traction on a wide variety of road surfaces. For a high suitability for everyday use, front and rear lights are installed on the bike, and there is also a rear carrier that can accommodate a load of 25 kg. The scope of delivery is completed by mudguards, which are currently supplied free of charge with the order.
The battery of the AGO X offers a capacity of 504 Wh and is neatly integrated into the down tube — but can be removed for convenient charging. That’s good, because with a total weight of about 29 kg, the AGO X is quite a heavyweight! The range is nevertheless up to 100 km. As always, such values are to be enjoyed with caution, because too many factors such as riders performance, weather and road conditions affect it.
Typical for Tenways is the attractive price-performance ratio, which also applies to the AGO X: the bike is now available for pre-order on the Tenways website, priced at a reasonable 2,399 euros . In addition to Starlight Silver and Midnight Black, the AGO X is also available in Ocean Blue; and those interested can choose between the two frame sizes L and XL – which should fit riders between 165 and over 190 cm tall. Delivery should then take place from the beginning of May.
