Short review: At the launch of Serial 1, Harley-Davidson’s e-bike brand, a quite spectacular e-bike was shown as a teaser for the upcoming bikes. In the meantime, the bikes are also available in Germany, but the eye-catching prototype in vintage look did not make it into the regular range. But now there is a chance to buy exactly this bike after all!
The S1 TRIBUTE is now the first model in Serial 1’s exclusive new S1 series and pays homage to the very prototype that inspired the creation of the Serial 1 eBike brand. The new S1 series will continue to include special, limited edition versions of Serial 1 eBikes that will feature “sophisticated design, the best technology, exclusive components and unparalleled attention to detail”.
Based on Serial 1’s MOSH/CTY production model, the bike is remarkably faithful to the original prototype. This includes the high-gloss black paint with gold graphics, the distinctive white-tinted Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres (exclusive to Serial 1), a handmade honey-coloured leather saddle and matching leather grips from Brooks England, and a stamped brass plate on the front light.
In addition to the special paint and components, the S1 TRIBUTE has all the features and functions of the standard MOSH/CTY model, including the maintenance-free Gates Carbon Drive belt drive, the powerful Brose mid-motor, the smooth-running TRP hydraulic disc brakes, the internally routed cables and lines and the integrated lighting.
Production of the S1 TRIBUTE is limited to a total of 650 units — 325 in the United States and 325 in Europe. Delivery is expected at the end of the fourth quarter of this year (probably in December 2021). Interested parties should hurry up and have the necessary change: Orders are being accepted now, the price is 5,999 USD!
