Serial 1 seems to like limited edition bikes. After several of such bikes have already been released, the BASH/MTB follows today — a fun bike with off-road qualities, which is based on the regular MOSH/CTY bike. We already had this one here in the test and were quite taken by the somewhat quirky combination of comfortable seating position, strong mid-drive motor and a singlespeed drive without gears. An ebike with a big fun factor!
This should be even higher in the BASH/MTB — because it comes with some special features that make the bike also ready for rough terrain: For one, of course, the offroad tires with Michelin’s E-Wild E-GUM-X in 27.5-inch format with a width of 2.6 inches. In addition, the bike gets a suspended NCX seatpost from SR Suntour with 50mm travel. And ultimately, of course, the design with the Yucca Tan paint and Gloss Graffiti graphics makes the difference!
The rest of the equipment of the bike is identical to the MOSH/CTY: The drive is the powerful Brose S Mag mid-motor with its 90 Nm of torque, combined with the clean and maintenance-free belt drive from Gates. With 529 Wh, the battery offers a decent capacity and is also removable. The bike has an integrated lighting system with headlight and position light in front and two rear lights integrated into the frame at the rear. The weight of the singlespeed bike is said to be 21.9 kg.
In addition, the special model also gets the innovations of the 2022 vintage of Serial 1: Google Cloud connectivity with the associated smartphone app is on board, and there is also a USB-C port for charging the smartphone on the handlebar. Details about these news can be found in this article.
Only 1050 pieces of the BASH/MTN will be built — 525 of them for the United States and 525 for Europe. Interested parties should be quick, because already the previous limited editions were sold out after a short time! A retail price of 3,999 USD is stated in the USA, the Euro prices are not yet available.
