Refreshed and even more affordable: the Tenways CGO 600 gets an update

Tenways launched its brand a few years ago with the Tenways CGO 600 — and was the first to offer a purist single-speed e-bike with high-quality motor control via a torque sensor at a really affordable price. Fortunately, what is almost a standard bike today was still a rarity at the time. So it’s no wonder that our test of the CGO 600 was so positive, especially as the overall package at this price was really convincing.

A year later, Tenways then launched the CGO 600 Pro, which had a removable battery. This and other features such as the adjustable stem made the bike more comfortable — but also somewhat heavier, less purist and more expensive.

More than just new colours: the 2025 vintage of the CGO 600 with technical updates and a lower price

So it’s all the more pleasing that Tenways has given the classic CGO 600 an update for the 2025 model year! The most noticeable change to the new model concerns the cable routing on the cockpit: all cables now run through the head tube, resulting in a tidier frame look. The mudguards and headlights are now made of aluminium, which increases both durability and longevity. The optional pannier rack has also been redesigned — it has improved stability compared to the previous version. In addition, the CGO 600 is now available in a new Moss Green colour. This complements the existing Midnight Black and Light Grey colours.

The reduced frame design with the high-quality e-drive remains unchanged. A modern belt drive replaces the classic bicycle chain and offers a quiet ride with minimal maintenance requirements — in the new model, this belt drive now comes from Michelin, whereas in the previous model it was supplied by market leader Gates.

The integrated torque sensor recognises the rider’s effort and adjusts the motor support accordingly to enable natural and smooth acceleration. Also familiar and proven from its predecessor is the Mivice M070 hub motor in the rear wheel, which offers a torque of 40 Nm, as well as the battery with its 252 Wh capacity permanently installed in the down tube. The control unit on the handlebars continues to offer a compact display, but this has been fundamentally revised and now presents its information in contemporary colour.

With a net weight of 15 kilograms (without accessories), the new CGO 600 is also one of the lighter e-bikes in its class – and at an even more attractive price. While its predecessor was regularly available for 1,599 euros, the new 2025 model now costs just 1,299 euros! The new CGO 600 can be ordered directly here on the Tenways website, delivery is free to your home and the pannier rack is currently also included free of charge.
