That Pelago Bicycles from Helsinki like to think outside the box and make collaborations with labels from areas, already showed the extremely cool collaboration with Carharrt W.I.P. from 2016. Now a similar project is again, but this time with the skateboard brand Element. The result is a collection that combines apparel and skateboard items in addition to a bike.
Of course, of particular interest to us here is the bike that goes by the name Silvo (and is based on Pelago’s Hanko Outback). Pelago itself describes the Silvo as a hybrid bike that combines gravel components with the practicality of a commuter bike to make it an all-rounder. The centerpiece of this all-rounder, besides the eye-catching paint job, is the Bullmoose handlebars, which provide a comfortable grip for the hands and a unique look reminiscent of old mountain bikes.
Typical for Pelago is the frame of the bike, which is made of steel as well as the fork. For good grip on loose surfaces, the WTB Riddler tires with 45 mm width should provide, for the best possible propulsion is a derailleur with 10 gears installed. Hydraulic Shimano brake discs, on the other hand, provide reliable deceleration.
The Silvon shows its qualities as a practical everyday bike with components such as the Commuter Front Rack, which was developed by Pelago itself, or with the two-legged bike stand for a particularly secure stand of the bike.
As a perfect accessory for the bike is definitely a look at the rest of the collection: this includes, for example, a jacket, vest and hip bag, all in line the design of the frame! The limited collection is available now, for the bike thereby 1,495 euros are due (available in three frame sizes).
