Ortlieb was honored with two coveted Eurobike Award at the international bicycle fair. The Eurobike Award is considered among the highest praises of the bicycle industry, and specifically honors new products and technologies with a high level of innovation and design. The jury named Ortlieb as the gold winner in the accessories category for the innovative Quick Rack Light luggage carrier. In addition, the innovative backpack-bike bag combination Vario PS was also honored with an award.

Those who use their bike in a variety of ways sometimes with a luggage rack for bags and sometimes without the rack for a lighter, faster biking experience know the hassle of the common, fixed luggage rack. With the Quick Rack Light from ORTLIEB, the tedious attachment and removal of the luggage rack is a thing of the past! Created by the Franconian bag specialists, ORTLIEB, the Vario PS is completely waterproof due to their special manufacturing technology and, of course, made in Germany. The completely redesigned Vario PS is a versatile product that cuts a fine figure both on and off the bike. At first glance, the Vario PS appears to be a classic pannier bag, available with both the Quick-Lock2.1 or 3.1 system. But upon reaching ones destination, the Vario PS seamlessly transforms into a stylish backpack unlike any other.
This did not go unrecognized by the six-member jury of the Eurobike Awards, who stated: “This lightweight luggage rack is very easy and user-friendly to mount. Or if not needed, it can be removed in a matter of seconds. No tools required, which makes it extremely practical indeed.”
They also had words of praise for the backpack-bag combination: “The Vario PS from ORTLIEB is genuine all-rounder. It’s a backpack and bike bag in one, easy to use without any fiddly adjustments.
