The C Line is the heart of Brompton — continuously developed and perfected since 1975. Invented by founder Andrew Ritchie, it represents 50 years of innovation, quality and unsurpassed functionality. Since then, Brompton has been known worldwide for its iconic folding bikes with an ingenious folding mechanism and well thought-out design — after all, it transforms from a bike you can take anywhere into a small package in less than 20 seconds.

To mark its 50th anniversary, Brompton is expanding its C Line and now offers it with 2-speed, 6-speed and, for the first time, 12-speed gears. The 12-speed system developed by Brompton and used for the first time on the P Line offers more gear ratio and more range. In addition, the new rear triangle takes the maneuverability of the classic Brompton to a new level. Owners can glide and steer their folded bike smoothly through train stations and foyers with the seat tube fixed halfway up.
In addition to the 12-speed option, Brompton is also introducing three new and fresh colors for the C Line folding bike:
- Flamingo Pink — a bright, warm pink with a hint of coral and orange. Eccentric, eye-catching – just like its namesake.
- Amethyst Lacquer — a deep, transparent shimmering purple. As precious as the stone. The craftsmanship is visible in every detail.
- Turkish Green — a true Brompton classic. Back at the request of the community.

Every bike has been made by hand in London since the very beginning — and coated with environmentally friendly paint powders that are obtained 100% from renewable energies.
With a weight of around 12 kg, the new top model is only slightly heavier than the 6-speed version (from 11.5 kg) and starts at 2,156 euros. The C Line with 12 gears and the new color options are now available at www.brompton.com, at the Brompton Junctions in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Vienna as well as at specialist retailers.
