Lemmo, the German brand specialising in lightweight electric micro-mobility, is expanding its product line with a new model: the Lemmo Zero. A foldable e-bike with dual mode – it can be used both as an analogue bicycle and with electric assistance and is based on Lemmo’s modular ‘E+’ platform. Thanks to this technology, the motor can be completely disconnected mechanically, allowing the bike to be ridden without any resistance from the electric drive. The Zero also features a removable Smartpac battery that can be used as a power bank to supply other devices with electricity. We are already familiar with both functions from the Lemmo One – the urban smart bike that we have already tested in several variants (for example, the Lemmo One Max Dynamic Edition and the Lemmo One MK2 ST).

But back to the Lemmo Zero: as part of the partnership with Chinese electric car manufacturer NIO, a special edition was also developed, which celebrated its premiere at the launch event for the new NIO ET5 and ET5T vehicles. This variant is aimed at users in urban areas who want to switch seamlessly between car and bike – a concept that NIO pursues under the slogan ‘4+2 Smart Mobility’. A specially developed storage system allows the bike to fit seamlessly into the boot of the new ET5T – a true integration of vehicle and e-bike. In addition, the Lemmo Zero is deeply integrated into NIO’s software, allowing ride data and battery status to be automatically synchronised. Upon arrival at their destination, users can easily switch to bike mode to explore the surrounding area with greater freedom and flexibility, providing a more convenient and enjoyable travel and leisure experience.

The shared core philosophy is the connecting element between NIO and Lemmo: great mobility should feel seamless and intuitive, offering users greater flexibility and comfort. Both brands also value elegant, functional design and technology that adapts to human life – not the other way around.
This collaboration also marks Lemmo’s official entry into the Chinese market, with the aim of offering more advanced and intelligent mobility solutions to a wider audience and accelerating the spread of healthier, more sustainable 4+2 smart mobility.
The European version and NIO Edition of the smart, foldable e-bike are expected to officially launch at the end of June, along with a full reveal of features and specifications. The European model will be available on lemmofuture.com, while the NIO Edition will be sold on the NIO Life platform.
