The sporty bikes with flatbar handlebars in the Roadlite series have long been an integral part of Canyon’s line-up. Now the new generation with carbon or aluminum frames should score with an even better price-performance ratio and greater suitability for everyday use.
“A bike for the city with just the right dose of minimalism.” This is how Canyon sees the new Roadlite and recommends it as an attractive, practical and lightweight bike for the diverse requirements of everyday life — and at an affordable price. Developed for a dynamic lifestyle, it combines modern design with sporty, agile handling.

Minimalist and sporty basic features
The Roadlite family combines budget-friendliness with high-quality components. The Roadlite 7 offers an aluminum frame, a 12-speed Shimano Deore derailleur and a lightweight carbon fork. The top model Roadlite CF 9 with carbon frame, on the other hand, relies on a Shimano XT shifting group, a carbon seat post and a one-piece carbon handlebar/stem combination with integrated SPC+ smartphone holder — and weighs just 9.5 kg.
All of the models are equipped with a 10-51 t cassette and a 44 t chainring for versatile use. The Shimano MT200 disc brakes are designed to provide reliable deceleration, while ergonomic Ergon GA3 grips and Selle Royal saddles with cut-outs promise pleasant comfort. For tires, the 40 mm wide Schwalbe G-One Allround tires are fitted.

Functional add-ons for everyday use
For all its minimalism, the Roadlite does not forego practical options for customization. It is compatible with the Canyon Sport Rack and mudguards. With a load capacity of up to 15 kg, the rack is perfect for commuters. Removable mounts on the rack allow the use of alternative suspension systems (e.g. QL2.1) for compatible panniers. The rear thru axle is compatible with trailers so that up to 50 kg of trailer load can be transported if required. The Roadlite also offers mounts for up to three bottle cages and a bike stand, making it perfectly adaptable to individual requirements.
Prices and availability
The three models of the Roadlite AL and CF platforms are now available directly from Canyon in two colors and three sizes. The cheapest model is the Roadlite AL 7 for 999 euros, followed by the Roadlite AL 8 for 1,499 euros. The top model, the Roadlite CF 9 with carbon frame, costs 1,999 euros.
