For the upcoming 2026 season, French manufacturer Moustache Bikes is launching its Dimanche 29 gravel bike with several detailed improvements. In addition to the classic drop bar version, the model will continue to be available as a flat bar variant, expanding its range of use beyond sporty rides to everyday and urban environments.
Comfortable equipment with easier handling
We tested the previous version of the Dimanche 29.2 extensively at the beginning of the year. At that time, we were particularly impressed by its agile handling and comfortable, well-designed features. However, one point of criticism concerned the difficult-to-access charging port for the permanently installed battery, which was hidden behind a flap. Moustache has addressed this issue for the new season: the charging port is now easily accessible from the outside, which should make it much easier to use on a daily basis!
Technically, however, the concept remains largely unchanged. The models continue to run on Bosch’s lightweight SX motor, which now offers up to 60 Nm of torque and 400% assistance. Power is supplied by the 400 Wh battery integrated into the down tube. Optionally, the system can be expanded by an additional 250 Wh with the PowerMore Range Extender.
Characteristic of the Dimanche 29 remains its comfort-oriented features, which are unusual for a gravel bike. The 50-millimetre-wide tyres allow for low air pressure and offer noticeable additional comfort on changing surfaces. In addition, there is a suspended dropper seat post as well as a suspended stem with 20 millimetres of travel – both rather unusual but all the more comfortable features for a bike of this type!
The frame is still made of aluminium, combined with a carbon fork that now offers mounting points for an optional front luggage rack. Another special feature is the availability of the so-called Open frame on the Gravel 2 and Gravel 4 models. The trapezoidal shape is still rare in the drop bar segment and offers more comfort when getting on and off the bike.
The Dimanche 29 gravel model overview for the upcoming season:
- Dimanche 29 Gravel 2 and Gravel 2 Flat Bar: Entry-level model with Shimano Cues 10-speed gear system. Available with drop bar or flat bar. The differences lie in the controls: the drop bar model uses the minimalist Mini Remote, while the flat bar model uses the Purion 200 with integrated display. Prices start at 3,499 euros for the flat bar model – for a fair surcharge of 200 euros, the Equipped version with integrated lighting system, mudguards and pannier racks is also available on request. The new colour of the entry-level model in Blue Grey Glossy is also pleasing.
- Dimanche 29 Gravel 4: The mid-range model comes with a Sram Apex 12-speed gear system and the centrally positioned Kiox 300 display. The price is 4,699 euros, and the Equipped version is also available here for an additional 200 euros. The Black Glossy colour is sure to be just as popular!
- Dimanche 29 Gravel 6: The top model comes with electronic Sram Apex AXS shifting and 12 gears, lightweight Mavic wheels and a comparatively light weight of 17.6 kilograms. The price is 5,699 euros and, in keeping with its sporty orientation, this model is not available as an Equipped or Open version. The striking Light Copper Glossy colour also shows that this is no standard model.
Overall, the Moustache Dimanche 29 is a successful further development of the previous series. The key features – high comfort, robust and sensibly coordinated components – remain unchanged, complemented by a charging concept that is much more suitable for everyday use. The flat bar version in particular offers an interesting option for urban riding or mixed use, while the drop bar models continue to cover the sporty segment.
