Coboc from Heidelberg stands for e-bikes that do not look like e-bikes: Minimalist in design, fast in acceleration, restrained in weight. Originally made for urban areas, the Heidelberg-based company is now driven by a desire for discovery beyond the city limits. Smooth on everyday rides and just as saddle-fast on dirt roads, the new TEN Merano is probably the most versatile Coboc model for touring and trekking. Thanks to its wide tyres and sturdy design, uneven surfaces are gently ironed out, allowing you to enjoy exploring foreign landscapes and cities on varied routes.
Characteristic for Coboc, the battery and most of the cables disappear in the frame of the (regular) metallic-blue Merano, and even the motor between the gear ring and brake disc is hidden from first sight. The everyday components are just as discreet as in all the manufacturer’s models: The removable rack, specially designed by Coboc, nestles closely to the line of the rear wheel, like the mudguards. Speaking of baggage, if you need more storage space on longer trips, you can confidently use a trailer, because the Tourer is also equipped for this. See and be seen is what it’s all about with the tiny Supernova front light, which merges with the stem, and the smart patented LED tail light integrated into the seat tube, which is a proprietary development. Thanks to the comfortable frame geometry and off-road capability with wide WTB byway tyres, the bike is ideal for detours over forest paths or meadows. And weighing only 16 kilograms, the Merano can be ridden just as well with or without electric assistance. If required, however, the self-developed drive, which can be individually configured via the Coboc app, provides powerful and harmonious power with peak outputs of up to 500 watts, making all leisure and everyday routes an entertaining experience.
The new TEN Merano can now also be ordered from selected dealers in the limited special color Sand Gold in a matt finish, which turns the bike into an additional eye-catcher. The price of the Coboc TEN Merano is 4,599 euros. All further information on the bike can be found directly on the Coboc website.
