15 years of Coboc – the Heidelberg-based e-bike manufacturer is marking this anniversary by unveiling a special edition of its Merano. The new Merano XV is a limited special edition that combines the brand’s well-known strengths with a range of exclusive features. At the same time, the model remains true to what has set Coboc apart for years: a lightweight, understated e-bike for everyday use, commuting and leisurely rides.
The designation XV stands for the Roman numeral 15 and refers to one and a half decades of the company’s history. During this time, Coboc has made a name for itself primarily with sleek e-bikes whose electric assistance is barely noticeable at first glance. The Merano XV consistently continues precisely this approach.

Visually, the special edition exudes classic elegance: the diamond-frame model hits the road in a dark green known as Earl Green, whilst the trapeze version is finished in San Rosé. Silver components provide a deliberate contrast to the frame colours and give the bike a distinctive character. The specification is complemented by brown leather grips from Velo and a colour-coordinated saddle.
The Merano XV also stands out from the standard model in its details. Silver-coloured Curana mudguards, a Coboc Urban handlebar, the exclusive ‘15 years’ bell from Cobell, and the silver Supernova Mini 2 front light all emphasise the special status of this anniversary edition. Despite its classic look, the overall appearance is modern and sleek.

Technically, the Merano XV is based on the well-known Coboc concept. The hub motor integrated into the rear wheel delivers up to 500 watts of peak power and is designed to provide assistance with a more natural feel. Control is handled by the in-house Coboc Electric Drive, the settings of which can be customised via the accompanying app.
Weighing in at just 15.6 kilograms, the Merano XV remains one of the lighter e-bikes in its class. This is noticeable not only when riding, but also when carrying the bike or moving it without motor assistance. The comparatively wide WTB tyres should provide additional comfort, noticeably smoothing out bumps on tarmac as well as the occasional gravel section.
The Coboc Merano XV thus combines classic cycling aesthetics with modern e-bike technology – whilst demonstrating that the Heidelberg-based company has remained true to its original concept. This limited-edition anniversary model is available exclusively from authorised Coboc dealers at a price of 4,799 euros.
