With the new Urban Bikes of the Sirrus X-Series, Specialized is especially aimed at those who want to rediscover the bike again for themselves — in keeping with the spirit of the times. Based on the powerful DNA of its asphalt-specialized sister model Sirrus, the Sirrus X is designed to feel at home on any terrain, while being a bike for everyone: beginners are given safety and confidence, experienced athletes benefit from the high performance that allows them to explore areas no Sirrus has ever seen before. An all-rounder that makes you feel comfortable wherever you go — whether you commute to work every day or where the asphalt stops. Comfortable, powerful, full of confidence and lots of fun.
The Sirrus X has been designed to provide comfort without sacrificing performance — with the goal of making the bike as frequent and enjoyable as possible. This is also the aim of the equipment: large-volume tyres cushion bumps, run better on gravel and are much more stable at all speeds. Body Geometry grips and saddles increase comfort for hands and in the seat area, even on long tours. The 1x rear derailleur is deliberately kept simple with only one chainring at the front, but still offers the complete range of a complex shifting group. Hydraulic disc brakes are standard on all models and ensure better braking power in all conditions and less maintenance.
A suspension fork was deliberately omitted — for one thing because it is quite heavy. On the other hand, the combination of large-volume tyres, the Body Geometry parts and the optional Future Shock system above the head tube (only on the 4.0 and 5.0 models) also offers suspension comfort at a comparatively low weight.
