The new Tour+ driving mode is designed to offer driving pleasure in every situation. This automatically adapts the power of the drive to the driving style, whether on level asphalt or on a steep incline. Switching between the driving modes is therefore no longer necessary, and the engine support should always provide a natural, sporty driving experience.
With this new riding mode, Bosch thus offers another mode in the style of the previously available eMTB mode, which is strongly oriented to the pedaling force on the pedal. This mode has also been convincing for urban bikes, which was shown in the test of the Cannondale Quick Neo EQ. The Tour+ mode therefore probably behaves similarly, but will not be quite as biting to the point and will be more economical in battery consumption.
However, Bosch calls as a prerequisite for the Tour+ mode a motor of the Performance Line CX generation from model year 2020. Thus, many urban bikes with the Performance Line Cruise or the popular Active Line Plus are unfortunately left out — something incomprehensible, since there was the mentioned eMTB mode also (subsequently) for Performance Line Cruise motors.
However, the new Tour+ mode should be a great addition for rather sporty drivers with a corresponding bike. The update should be available immediately and can be installed via an update at the dealer.
