Alpina is launching the Paranus Urban a version of its new bike helmet specially designed for use in the city. In addition to a compact shape, it dispenses with a shield and favours integrated visibility.
The helmet is made of a robust outer shell and an EPS inner shell. Microscopically small air chambers in the material ensure effective shock absorption in the event of a fall. Thanks to the inmould production, the outer and inner shells are firmly bonded together — resulting in high stability at a comparatively low weight of approx. 280 g.

The Paranus Urban also has a removable LED rear light, which is charged via USB-C and is also splash-proof. This significantly improves visibility in road traffic, especially at dusk. Large ventilation openings ensure pleasant air circulation and a flynet keeps insects out. The so-called Run System Ergo Pro enables precise adjustment and the fastener is designed to be operated with one hand. The helmet’s inner padding is washable and removable — important if you use the helmet every day.

Available for an RRP of around 90 euros, the Paranus Urban is available in black, white, purple, green and brown — although the street price is currently much cheaper at around 75 euros.
