New colors and practical features: Rose’s lightweight Sneak Plus EQ is ready for the new season!

With the sporty and lightweight Sneak Plus, Rose is already offering an extremely attractive e-bike since 2022, which you can hardly tell is electrically powered. For the 2025 season, the bike is now available in a great color palette that includes sage green and lavender in addition to the classic white. In addition, the features of this Equipped model (which is what the EQ stands for in the name) have been expanded to make it even better practical for everyday use.

Tried and tested: Mahles hub motor with belt drive

Nothing new has been added to the drive system, which still comes from Mahle and uses the X35+ motor. Although this is well-known and proven, we would have preferred the newer X30 model with torque sensor. The operating concept with the purist iWoc button in the top tube also remains the same, as does the 250 Wh battery. The fact that this battery is permanently installed in the down tube is hardly surprising given the slim frame. And thanks to its light weight of around 15.5 kg, the bike can also be moved to the charger with ease if required. Typical for a single-speed bike, the Sneak Plus EQ has no gears and a modern belt drive from Gates is used to transmit power to the rear wheel instead of the classic bicycle chain. Ideal for use in the city, as you don’t have to worry about oil-smeared trouser legs!

Practical features for everyday use

In order to be even more flexible in everyday use, Rose has equipped the Sneak Plus EQ with a pannier rack for the first time. In keeping with the slim concept of the bike, it is integrated rather inconspicuously and designed to accommodate two side panniers. This means it can carry up to 4 kg per side, which should be sufficient for smaller errands. The scope of delivery also includes a folding lock, which is securely attached to the frame mounts, and a central bike stand. These are both features that you could have retrofitted yourself — but it’s even more convenient that they are fitted directly to the bike! The fully integrated Lightskin lighting system, which is inconspicuously integrated into the handlebars and seat post, is already familiar from the predecessor.

Prices and availability of the Rose Sneak Plus EQ 2025

The Sneak Plus EQ is also available as a diamond frame with a high top tube or with a comfort frame in a trapezoid shape, whereby the latter is currently only available in sage green and lavender. The frame sizes range from S to XL and are therefore suitable for body heights from 155 to 198 cm. The price for all variants is 2,999 euros and can be ordered directly here via the Rose Bikes website.
