Just recently, in our review of the new Lemmo One Collab.Ride, we were once again reminded that Lemmo really stands for innovation like hardly any other brand with their smart e-bikes. But even beyond the bikes themselves, the company is always on the lookout for clever solutions that improve everyday use and make it easier. New accessories are designed not only to offer additional functions, but also to transform the entire riding experience into a connected ecosystem.
At the heart of this vision is the new SmartLink folding lock, a smart accessory that redefines what a bicycle lock can do. Rather than being a separate security device, the SmartLink becomes part of the bike itself – integrated with the Lemmo app, the Smartpac and the entire Lemmo security system.
SmartLink folding lock: One fingerprint, total access
The new SmartLink folding lock adds a security solution to the smart Lemmo One that is designed, above all, to provide the smoothest possible user experience. Instead of a key or an app, a quick touch of the fingerprint sensor built directly into the lock is all it takes to unlock the bike. But that’s not where the functionality ends – rather, this is where the concept’s real uniqueness begins.

Opening the lock not only releases the security mechanism but also activates the bike itself at the same time. Via a Bluetooth mesh connection, the SmartLink folding lock communicates directly with the Lemmo system, simultaneously unlocking the integrated hub lock and the Smartpac battery lock. As a result, the entire process feels more like unlocking a modern Smart car than using a traditional bicycle lock.
In everyday life, this means fewer steps and less technology that needs to be operated separately. Instead of having to switch between keys, apps and various locking systems, a single authentication is all that’s needed before you can set off. Thanks to its connection to the Lemmo app, the system can also be integrated into the existing Lemmo ecosystem.
Lemmo does not view the SmartLink folding lock as a standalone accessory, but rather as part of what is known as the “7-Layer Total Defence Security System”. In addition to the lock, this system includes, amongst other things, an integrated hub lock, Bluetooth-based rider identification, a 100-dB alarm, GPS and IoT tracking, and integration with Apple’s “Find My” network. Particularly in urban traffic, security is thus intended to be ensured not only through robust materials, but also through intelligent connectivity. The lock itself features a reinforced manganese steel construction and is IP67-rated for water resistance.
Boot mount for the Lemmo Zero
There are also new accessories available for the ultra-compact Lemmo Zero folding bike, taking an approach whereby additional components are not merely added as an afterthought, but are designed to become an integral part of the actual riding experience. Instead of the traditional approach to accessories – where individual add-ons function independently of one another – the brand focuses on enhancements that specifically improve comfort, everyday practicality and usability, and integrate as seamlessly as possible into the overall system.

In urban environments in particular, it is not just the ride itself that matters, but also everything that happens before and after it. With the foldable Lemmo Zero, the focus is therefore also on transport. Accessories such as a special boot mount are designed to further enhance the practical benefits of a compact e-bike and make it easier to transport in a car – for example, on the way to work, on weekend trips or on journeys involving a combination of different modes of transport.
Conclusion
Both the folding lock and the boot mount demonstrate that Lemmo takes a holistic approach, aiming to integrate security, connectivity and everyday practicality as closely as possible. The SmartLink folding lock is available right here in the Lemmo shop for 139 euros. The same applies to the Lemmo Zero boot mount, which is available for 99 euros.
