With its new Special Urban Edition, Lemmo is launching a new variant of its innovative Smart Bike One, which boasts a number of special features and a special paint finish in Downtown Grey (Pantone 5295C).
Technically, the bike corresponds to the regular Lemmo One in its latest MKII version, which was unveiled at the beginning of the year. For the first time, the smart bike features a torque sensor, which is intended to ensure more sensitive and therefore more natural control of the drive. The motor itself is installed in the rear wheel of the bike in the form of a compact hub motor with a torque of 40 Nm and can be mechanically decoupled, allowing the Lemmo One to be ridden like a conventional bike without any resistance from the motor. This ‘E Plus’ technology is a special feature that is only available from Lemmo!
For its actual use as an e-bike, however, the motor receives its power from a 531 Wh battery, which is fitted in the front triangle of the frame. The so-called Smartpac can also be easily removed and used as a power bank to supply energy for laptops, smartphones or other gadgets. Extensive connectivity with the smartphone app makes the One a true smart bike: its location can be tracked thanks to GPS, there is an alarm system and the rear wheel can even be locked mechanically — all controlled via the app!
The Special Urban Edition comes with an ergonomically shaped cruising handlebar as standard, which is designed to enable a slightly more upright and comfortable riding position. The Stealth Suspension Seat System, an invisibly integrated saddle suspension system, also promises additional comfort. Finally, the bike also comes with Lemmo’s clever smartphone holder, which is integrated into the stem — and is barely noticeable as such when your mobile is not inserted.
Also special is the colour of the frame: not only is the Pantone 5295C colour called Downtown Grey completely new, it also has a glossy finish for the first time — all previous versions of the Lemmo One always had a matt look.
As with the regular Lemmo One, the Special Urban Edition is also available in three sizes and two types of drivetrains. With a high top tube in sizes L and XL (then with 27.5‘ or 28’ tyres) and as an ST version with a lowered top tube — each as a singlespeed with Gates belt drive or with classic derailleur gears and 10 gears.
Thanks to the current anniversary promotion, prices have been reduced by 200 euros. The Special Urban Edition of the Lemmo One including Smartpac is available from just 2,389 euros for the derailleur model, while the belt drive version costs 100 euros extra. Depending on the model variant, deliveries of the bikes are scheduled to begin as early as November 2024.
