Rose Bikes introduces the new generation of the Xtra Watt Plus e-bike, which is designed for urban use in city traffic as well as longer tours. The new edition of the all-round bike continues to score points with its extensive equipment, but now focusses even more on additional comfort, higher performance and a clear design.

The new bikes have an aluminium frame with a revised look and are available in the colours Slate and Sage. The three available frame shapes High-Step (with a high top tube), Mid-Step (trapezoidal frame) and Low-Step (step-through frame) are each available in four sizes.

To adapt to different body sizes and sitting habits, the stem can now be flexibly adjusted in height. A suspension fork and suspension seat post are also installed for improved damping on uneven surfaces.

The drive unit is Bosch’s Active Line Plus mid-drive motor, which offers a torque of 50 Nm. This now extremely proven system is designed for use in urban environments and works almost silently. Power is supplied by a 625 Wh battery, which is located in the down tube of the frame and can be conveniently removed for charging. Thanks to the compact and modern Kiox 300 display, all important information is displayed centrally on the stem. Thanks to Bosch’s Smart System with app connection, customised settings and over-the-air updates are also available.

Two model variants with different gearshift technology are available:

  • Rose Xtra Watt Plus 3: Equipped with the Enviolo AUTOMATiQ hub gear and a low-maintenance belt drive. The continuously variable automatic system continuously adjusts the gear ratio to the cadence. The weight of the bike is said to be 28.8 kg.
  • Rose Xtra Watt Plus 2: With Shimano Alfine 11-speed hub gears and also belt drive. This version is aimed at all those who prefer manual shifting and more direct handling. The weight of the bike is said to be 27.7 kg.

The extensive equipment includes a Racktime Snapit 2.0 rear rack (load capacity up to 25 kg) and a lighting system with automatically activated brake light to increase visibility when decelerating.

Prices start at 3,999 euros for the Rose Xtra Watt Plus 2 and 4,399 euros for the Rose Xtra Watt Plus 3. Further information is available on the Rose website, where the bike can also be ordered directly.
