With the new Velosamba, adidas presents the further development of the iconic sneaker Samba — especially for cycling. The Velosamba was created to meet the demands of a young, booming generation of cyclists who are developing a creative and diverse cycling culture — primarily in the cities. With the Velosamba, this growing community gets a functional shoe that combines modern street style with innovative outsole technology. This makes it possible to switch on the fly between cycling and walking.

The Velosamba has an inner sole reinforcement made of recycled nylon for extra stability during the ride and a fully integrated cup sole made of rubber with a recess for the cleat, which is attached with two screws. This is not only enormously durable, but also allows full flexibility. In addition, the reflective three stripes and heel sections provide optimal visibility during the day and at night.

Through interactions with cycling communities in London, Los Angeles and Germany, it became clear that the cycling culture is changing and has a greater need for flexible products that fit their lifestyles and that they can wear for their favorite sport as well as for leisure.
