Award for Lemmo: the innovative Lemmo Zero folding bike has won the prestigious iF Design Award 2026 – one of the world’s most respected awards for outstanding design. The award marks the culmination of a journey that began with a simple ambition: to rethink personal mobility for a world where people increasingly combine different ways of moving and traveling.

As with many Lemmo projects, the idea was developed through close collaboration with forward-thinking designers. For Lemmo Zero, the company partnered with Zanzotti Studio, the design consultancy behind the APV concept unveiled at Eurobike 2024. From the very beginning, Zanzotti Studio worked hand in hand with Lemmo’s R&D team. Rather than following a traditional design process, both teams collaborated closely, challenging conventions and exploring new approaches together. The goal was not simply to improve an existing category, but to create something genuinely different.

That bold approach became one of the project’s defining strengths. During the iF Design Award evaluation, the jury particularly recognized Lemmo Zero for its originality, clarity of vision, and ability to stand apart from established solutions in the market. The strongest recognition came in the area of Differentiation, reflecting the project’s success in introducing fresh thinking and creating a distinct identity within the mobility sector.
The jury also highlighted the strength of the overall concept, the coherence between design and functionality, and the project’s contribution to the ongoing evolution of urban mobility. Selected from more than 10,000 entries across 68 countries, the award represents international recognition of the vision, collaboration, and determination that shaped Lemmo Zero from day one.

For Lemmo and Zanzotti Studio, the iF Design Award 2026 is more than a design achievement. It is proof that when designers and engineers work together around a shared vision, ambitious ideas can become reality.
Other key features of the Lemmo Zero include its exceptionally compact folded dimensions, lightweight carbon frame and the company’s own E+ drive system, comprising a hub motor in the rear wheel and a removable battery at the front. Priced at just 2,390 euros, this electric folding bike is also significantly cheaper than many other models with comparable materials and specifications. It is available directly here in the Lemmo webshop.
