Inspired by POC’s skiing and cycling heritage, the Calyx was developed as a multifunctional helmet for skiing, mountaineering and cycling. With a host of POC innovations in terms of performance and protection, the Calyx is designed to protect its wearers, whether they are out and about in the city, going up or down the mountain.

Thanks to its development and design approach, the Calyx is intended to be a helmet that excels in skiing or snowboarding as well as mountaineering and cycling. According to POC, the ventilation system and simple personalization thanks to the modular design ensure that it fits naturally into the respective role and landscape. As a helmet that should be suitable for various disciplines, it must be as versatile as possible. This idea was at the heart of the development of the Calyx. The goggle clip, foldable ear pads and neck warmer are designed to be easily removed and replaced depending on the user’s needs, the activity or the season.

The adjustment system of the Calyx offers the expected fit, adjustment and comfort that you would expect from many POC helmets. By simply adjusting the rear wheel, the fit can be precisely tuned. The system features a three-stage vertical adjustment to allow for an even more specific fit. Another new feature of the Calyx helmet is a fully retractable adjustment system. In “pack mode”, it can be pushed all the way into the helmet for transportation.

In addition to the regular Calyx, the Calyx Carbon is also available in a version made of super-light material, which enables a weight saving of up to 140g:

The Calyx and Calyx Carbon will be available online and in selected retail stores in three sizes from November 2023, priced at €250 for the Calyx and €400 for the Calyx Carbon. The color options are Selentine Off-White Matt, Sulphite Yellow Matt, Uranium Black Matt and Epidote Green Matt.
