Especially for women is the cycling clothing of IRIS – a still young label from the Netherlands, founded by former professional cyclist Iris Slappendel, who has always combined design work with her cycling career as she studied design. For the cycling clothing for IRIS she now uses this knowledge intensively in all aspects of the design process. The guiding principle is always that technical functions must not compromise style. This is where the name of the label comes from, by the way: IRIS stands for “I Ride In Style”!
The new autumn/winter collection for 2019 consists of few pieces, but each one is unique because of the strong colours and prints. Matching the season, the tops are now long-sleeved, there are merino shirts and lined jackets and matching cycling pants. All pieces are designed to fit the female physique – men can at least stock up on unisex pieces like the Cycling Cap or the new Merino neck warmer.
