With urban cycling and e-mobility in mind, Brooks England releases the new Cambium C67 saddle and new ergonomic handlebar grips.
Brooks Cambium C67 Saddle
The latest addition to the Cambium series of waterproof natural rubber saddles is the Cambium C67 saddle. It is specially designed for commuters and has special features that meet the needs of the modern city dweller — suitable for e-bikes, cargo bikes and other city bikes with an upright sitting position.
Long-lasting comfort is guaranteed with the Cambium C67 by its two main elements: The elastic and flexible surface made of vulcanized natural rubber, which absorbs shocks and bumps in city traffic, guaranteeing comfort for each rider’s individual shape through the famous “hammock effect”, and the special curved shape of the top and the saddle nose, which provides better stability during the ride.
Special attention has been paid to the safety, functionality and comfort that e-bike riders need. Thanks to the flexible top surface, which provides a natural increase in the rear area as soon as you sit down for better control during e-acceleration, backward slipping is prevented, resulting in greater stability. The domed nose ensures better control during braking according to the same principle. During the ride, an innovative ventilation structure in fiberglass nylon, which is already applied during production, increases the flexibility of the rubber and at the same time its resistance to stress and vibrations — for intensive use and a long life. And last but not least, a rubber grip has been added to the inside of the back plate, which guarantees a firm and stable grip to maneuver even heavy e-bikes and cargo bikes on foot.
Like all other Cambium saddles, the C67 is made of vulcanized natural rubber that flexes and moves gently with the rider, providing instant and lasting comfort without the break-in time required by Brooks leather saddles. Durable, maintenance-free and waterproof all year round, the C67 is perfect for heavy city use – also thanks to the nylon material on the saddle surface for increased resistance to all weather and abrasion.
Brooks Cambium Ergo-Grips
To complete the comfort experience, Brooks has also launched new ergonomic rubber grips that perfectly complement the Cambium saddles, especially when riding in an upright or angled position. Durable and waterproof, the ergonomic handlebar grips are ergonomically shaped and offer a wider surface for better pressure distribution over a larger palm. This allows for more comfortable hand positions and all-day comfort. Ergonomic grooves on the underside provide a comfortable feel and the top uses the same abrasion-resistant vulcanized nylon material as the cadmium saddles, creating a consistent overall look. Finally, the shape of the iconic Brooks rivets served as inspiration for the aluminum handlebar caps, a secure yet stylish closure.
Both new models are available immediately. The recommended retail price is 120 Euros for the C67 saddle and 45 Euros for the new Ergo grips. A review of both new parts will be available here in a dedicated article shortly!
