We already teased it in the article about our ride with the Lundi, Mardi and J urban bikes from Moustache, but now it’s official: the innovative and multi-award-winning Moustache J is now getting more gearbox options! Until now, the J was already available with derailleur gears and the continuously variable Enviolo transmission with belt drive, but now additional variants are being added.

Let it shift

The urban J.On Automatiq and the versatile J.all Automatiq come with integrated Enviolo Automatiq hub gears and a belt drive with Gates belt drive. The powerful Bosch Performance Line motor with its 85 Nm of torque harmonizes perfectly with the automatic gearshift — in the auto mode of the Bosch drive system, the pedal assistance adjusts automatically. Together with the high gear range of 380%, even steep climbs can be mastered easily and stress-free.

Shift with ease

The equally new J.on Nexus is equipped with durable Shimano Nexus hub gears and chain. Compared to other hub gears from Shimano, this model is specially designed for e-bikes and can also cope with the powerful performance of the mid-drive motor. With a 262% range, it offers a sufficient spread for cycling in the city. The five gears can be shifted smoothly and precisely using the twist grip.

A characteristic feature of the Moustache J is the full-suspension frame, which makes for a particularly comfortable ride. For added comfort and easy handling, the frame also has a low step-through that makes it easy to get on and off the bike. Another reason for the bike’s clear design language and tidy look is the frame’s production process. This is cast from aluminum and consists of just two parts. Production is possible locally in France and supports Moustache’s efforts to produce the J as sustainably as possible and to keep transportation routes short.

All new models are available immediately and complete the range at the top and bottom end of the price scale: The two new additions, J.on Automatiq and J.all Automatiq, are available from 6,599 euros, while the J.on Nexus starts at the lower end of the J model range at 5,199 euros.
