With the Oi Prima, Knog is introducing a new generation of its well-known bicycle bell. When the Australian company launched the first bell called Oi in 2016, its minimalist design caused quite a stir. Barely visible when integrated into the handlebars, the bell was a minor sensation at the time. However, it quickly became apparent that the mechanism was not quite ready for prime time – which is why the Oi Version 2, still available today, followed later. Just one year later, a slightly more luxurious version was released in the form of the Oi Luxe.

With the Oi Prima, Knog now wants to leave the weaknesses of its predecessors behind. Installation is supposed to be easier, and the spring in the mechanism is now completely hidden inside. This means it can no longer be overstretched, which should guarantee long-term reliable operation. Knog has also improved the sound: the Oi Prima reaches over 80 decibels, sounds clearer and more consistent, and lasts longer. The subtle wave-like movement produces a clearly recognisable tone that is more noticeable in traffic.
The bell is available in two sizes. The L version is designed for mounting in the centre of handlebars with a diameter of 23.8 to 31.8 millimetres, while the S size is designed for mounting on the outside of handlebars with a diameter of 22.2 millimetres. It is available in dark Anthracite and light Primer Grey at a price of around 25 euros.
