We already know the Dimanche from Moustache Bikes as a sporty gravel e-bike and recently reported on the facelift of the model series for the new season. However, Moustache has been looking towards urban use for some time now, as demonstrated by the flat bar version of the Dimanche (which we tested here). With its straight handlebars and, in particular, its extensive everyday equipment, this model increasingly blurs the boundaries between gravel and asphalt.
With its new Dimanche 28 Urban, they’ve taken it a step further and made it just right for city riding. As a lightweight and agile e-bike for everyday urban use, the bike is designed for daily journeys in the city and aims to combine sporty riding characteristics with the most natural feeling of assistance possible. The bike is therefore aimed at urban commuters as well as riders who are looking for a dynamic e-bike for errands, short distances or relaxed weekend rides.

The Bosch Performance Line SX is at the heart of the drive system. With its compact design and relatively modest power output, it is aimed at sporty e-bikes. The motor delivers up to 60 Newton metres of torque and achieves a peak power output of up to 600 watts. Power is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 400 watt hours that is permanently integrated into the frame. If required, this can be expanded to up to 650 watt hours with the optionally available Bosch PowerMore Range Extender. This allows the range to be flexibly adjusted depending on the usage profile, for example for longer commutes or extended weekend trips.
When it comes to equipment, the Dimanche 28 Urban is clearly geared towards the demands of everyday life. An integrated pannier rack with QL3 mount allows for easy attachment of compatible bike bags and is designed for a load capacity of up to 20 kilograms. Mudguards are also standard equipment and increase everyday usability in changeable weather conditions. The lighting system is from Supernova and, with a light output of up to 100 lux, is designed to ensure good visibility and visibility in road traffic. Gear selection is handled by a Shimano Cues series gear system, while Shimano hydraulic disc brakes ensure controlled and reliable deceleration. Other special features include the SmartphoneGrip on the handlebars, which can be used to attach almost any smartphone and also allows wireless charging.

Despite its clear urban focus, the sporty genes of the Dimanche series remain recognisable, but are complemented by additional comfort features. For example, the bike is equipped with an SR Suntour NRX suspension fork, which offers 40 millimetres of travel and is designed to cushion bumps on poor roads or cobblestones. The 50 mm wide tyres support this approach and contribute to stable and safe handling in city traffic. In addition, a suspension seat post is installed, which can also be lowered at the touch of a button on the handlebars.
The Dimanche 28 Urban is available in a classic frame shape with a high top tube and in a comfortable ‘Open’ frame version with a trapezoidal frame, which is designed to make mounting and dismounting easier. The model is available in up to four frame sizes, but there is little choice in terms of colour – the black version is the only option, priced at 3,799 euros.
We had the opportunity to test the new Dimanche 28 Urban in advance – here is the article about it.
