The Super Mighty Junior made its debut at Eurobike Show — a balance bike for children that was the secret star at the Super Bicycles stand (we also reported on it here in our article with the Eurobike Show highlights). The concept is as simple as it is unusual: a compact long john frame in the design of the tried and tested “large” Super Mighty cargo bike — only without pedals, and thus designed for the youngest from around two years of age. What was originally only intended as a show bike, however, generated so much enthusiasm that series production is now starting! And according to the manufacturer, this is the world’s first “cargobalancebike”.

Built on a lightweight aluminium frame, the Super Mighty Junior weighs just 5.8 kg. There is space for a small Eurobox with a length of 30 cm on the loading area and the maximum load is 15 kg. The maximum weight for young riders is 30kg. A rim brake on the 12‘ rear wheel provides deceleration, and thick balloon tyres are fitted there as well as on the small 10’ front wheel. Incidentally, the overall length of the Super Mighty Junior is 126 cm.
At the start, the bike can be pre-ordered as a limited Founders Edition in metallic blue-green or metallic orange for 349 euros — the regular retail price will later be 399 euros. Delivery can be expected from the end of October. A very fair price, which will certainly encourage some enthusiastic cargo bike parents to buy one. Kindergartens and daycare centres can therefore start setting up large parking lots 😉 Further information can be found directly here on the Super Bicycles website.
