With its X1 Arctic Camo Limited Edition, Litelok is launching a new version of its well-known X1 bike lock — for the first time in a monochrome camouflage design. Technically, it is based on the regular X1 model, which is characterised above all by its high resistance to angle grinder attacks.
In contrast to many standard D-locks on the market, which can often be opened in just a few seconds when attacked with a cut-off wheel, the X1 uses a special protective technology called Barronium. This is a multi-layer composite material that reduces sparks, slows down the grinding process and shortens the service life of cutting discs. The aim is to slow down potential thieves and significantly reduce the risk of theft. Equipped in this way, the lock is said to be at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinders than the currently best-selling and most powerful D-locks.
Weighing 1.7 kg, the lock has internal dimensions of 101 x 197 mm and is suitable for all high-value bikes and e-bikes. The surface has a plant-based rubber coating to protect the frame from scratches during transport. Reflective elements are designed to improve visibility in the dark and come in a camouflage design on the limited edition version — alternatively, the lock is also available with a single-colour reflective trim.
The Arctic Camo version is available in limited quantities and is currently available here at a reduced price directly from Litelok — for 164 euros instead of the regular 179 euros. Litelok is also currently offering a 50 per cent discount on the matching X1 Tactical mount, which can be used to attach the lock to the frame.
