Woom is expanding its popular range of kids’ bikes with a new series: Woom Explore, which features a refreshed look as well as some technical updates to the classic Woom Original.

Disc brakes are now standard on all new bikes, ensuring reliable deceleration even in wet conditions. Thanks to their micro-serration, the Schwalbe Billy Bonkers tires should provide plenty of grip — whether on asphalt, gravel or forest soil. With the new Explore, Woom has also paid particular attention to ensuring that the gearshifts on the bikes are easy to operate.

More obvious than the technical innovations, however, is the modern look of the bikes: compared to the Woom Original, the Woom Explore now comes with a matt finish and dark contrasting color. This means that not only the add-on parts, fork and rear triangle of the frame are in anthracite, which also emphasizes the actual color of the frame. With Woom Red, Neon Coral, Jungle Green and Magnetic Blue, four new and expressive colors are available.

Other features are already familiar from the previous Woom bikes — and these can also be found on the Woom Explore: for example, the ergonomic cockpit with adjustable stem, which can be flexibly adapted to the child’s growth. The extensive range of accessories with mudguards, kickstand and pannier rack is also compatible with the new Explore models, and the bikes are also real lightweights!

• The Woom Explore 4 comes with 20” wheels for children between 6 and 8 years (or between 115-130 cm tall). It is equipped with 7-speed gears from Shimano and weighs just 7.8 kg.
• The Woom Explore 5 comes with 24” wheels for children between 7 and 11 years (or between 125-145 cm tall). It is equipped with 8-speed gears from microSHIFT and weighs just 9 kg..
• The Woom Explore 6 comes with 26” wheels for children between 10 and 14 years (or between 140-165 cm tall). It is equipped with an 8-speed microSHIFT gear system and weighs just 9.5 kg.

All new products can be purchased directly from Woom here in their online store, with prices ranging from 599 euros for the Woom Explore 4 to 649 euros for the Woom Explore 5 and 699 euros for the Woom Explore 6 — making them each 70 euros more expensive than the corresponding versions of the Woom Original bikes.
