For the seventh time, Cyclingworld Europe will open its doors from 28 to 30 March at the impressive and fully booked Düsseldorf Areal Böhler. With over 450 brands, including numerous new products, many programme highlights, a large test area, and rides for cyclists of all kinds, this year’s event once again gathers the who’s who of international cycling culture to kick off the season. A special treat awaits the youngest visitors this year, as Cyclingworld will donate part of the entrance fees to children in need.
From Friday, 28 March, the Düsseldorf Areal Böhler will once again be transformed into an international hotspot for the crème de la crème of the cycling and e-bike world. Visitors and industry insiders will not only get a first look at numerous innovations, premieres, and trends marking the start of the cycling season, but Cyclingworld Europe will also showcase the incredible diversity of the cycling world across 18,000 m² with an exciting supporting programme. This includes rides, a spacious test area, panel discussions, and a dedicated hall with a course for the youngest riders.
“Cycling is not just an enduring trend; it is also motivation, emotion, and aesthetics. We see Cyclingworld Europe as a multifaceted universe that traditionally marks the start of the new cycling and e-bike season. Despite challenges in the industry, this year’s event will be more diverse than ever,”
says Stefan Maly, head of the fair and organiser of Cyclingworld Europe, who looks forward to welcoming many visitors to the fully booked Areal Böhler. Project manager Torsten Abels adds:
“This year, we have more start-ups exhibiting than ever before, proving that the industry still has plenty of energy. For the fair, this means an even greater variety of highlights in 2025, which is a great advantage for Cyclingworld. We can confidently say: the crisis in the industry affects us, but it does not define us.”

World premieres, the first Cargo Bike Polo Championship, women’s empowerment, and much more
Spread across six exhibition halls and featuring a spacious outdoor area with around 80 exhibitors in the test area, Cyclingworld Europe occupies nearly the entire Areal Böhler. While major cycling industry players such as Orbea, Storck, TIME, and Decathlon with Van Rysel in the road bike segment will use the event to present their latest innovations—some of them even world premieres—this year also sees an impressive presence of start-ups introducing their products in Düsseldorf for the first time. Among them are Carryfant with sustainable and versatile bicycle trailers, Baldiso, a new player in innovative road bikes from Bavaria, and Yuccie, featuring smart and minimalist e-bikes designed by the former founder of Bergamont.
But it’s not just about discovering—and literally experiencing—new innovations; the extensive supporting programme also boasts exciting highlights. On Friday and Saturday, the Lastenhelfer Düsseldorf will host Europe’s first-ever Cargo Bike Polo tournament. Two teams, each consisting of two cargo bikes or bikes with trailers, will compete in two five-minute rounds using polo mallets to score goals. The tournament promises to be highly entertaining, with several exhibitor teams already signed up.
Equally engaging but with a more in-depth discussion, the Women in Cycling Panel Talk will take place on Saturday at 14:30 in the Blogger Lounge.
“Whether it’s women in the industry, in competitive cycling, or as customers—there are still significant gaps everywhere. In this still relatively new area of research, we will discuss women-specific training, hormones and their influence on training progress, as well as bikepacking from a female perspective. With Kathi Sigmund and Iris Slappendel as experienced speakers, we are eager to explore whether there are connections between these topics,”
says Kerstin Kortekamp, co-owner of the bike shop Schicke Mütze, who initiated the panel talk together with Karla Sommer.

How an individual bicycle frame is crafted can be seen in the #livebuild: Bicycle frame builder Alexander Clauss will be soldering and welding bicycle frames live during the event in a glass-enclosed workshop, allowing attendees to follow the creation process up close and even engage directly with the expert.
Beyond that, Cyclingworld offers a variety of exciting rides, including road and gravel cycling tours, star rides to the fair, the Fixed Gear Crit, and the Cyclocross Race—ensuring a thrilling and informative weekend for e-bike and bicycle enthusiasts alike.
Cyclingworld Europe supports the youngest riders
For the first time this year, trade visitors will be required to pay a symbolic entrance fee. However, this is not to benefit Cyclingworld itself—the proceeds will be donated to the Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e.V., primarily to support children in need. Fair director Stefan Maly emphasises:
“With this initiative, we aim to shape the future of the cycling industry together with all our trade visitors while also making a small contribution to a worthy cause within our society.”
Additionally, young visitors will be well catered for on-site: A newly structured Kids’ World awaits the youngest guests, along with an adventure course where children can playfully develop their skills and prepare for road traffic.
